Twenty one years ago Darren Barden was the victim of a vicious knife attack in his own home in a case of mistaken identity.
Let’s skip to the good bits is a first hand account of the evening of the attack and the events that followed. Darren talks frankly about the mental repercussions that being a victim of a knife crime can have and his battle to regain his mental health following the attack. The book also contains a note from our Trustee Steph Shilton talks about her experience working in healthcare and the work she is doing for Mid and North East Essex Mind.
Darren will be supporting Mid and North East Essex Mind with his book which can be purchased at www.darrenbarden.com . Our Marketing and Fundraising Manager Steph Mills attended the books launch on Thursday 12th April, along with Darren’s other chosen charity Victim Support and Time to Change.
