Challenge yourself and skydive for Mental Health Awareness Week!

On Saturday 18th May 2019, Mid and North East Essex Mind have organised another annual Skydive to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

We are asking for brave supporters to sign up and take on the challenge of a lifetime!

A tandem skydive is the easiest and most popular of all skydives. It requires only 30 minutes of training before you jump strapped to your instructor! The BPA (British Parachute Association) qualified tandem instructor does all of the hard work for you, allowing you to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds from over 10,000 feet at up to 120 mph! It is a truly unforgettable experience.

Last year, our corporate partner Perrywood Garden Centre and Nursery had an entire team of skydivers take part and here’s what they said about their experience:

I did it because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do since my dad did it. And what better reason to raise money than for such a good cause!’ – Tanya Gates

‘I want to make those proud who suffer from depression. It’s important to them, as well as me to go ahead with the sky dive. It’s now or never!’ – Arif Khan

I want to support the great work that Mid and North East Essex Mind is doing, and prove that facing your fears can be a good thing, and possibly change your life.’ – Cat Nuckley

What better way to raise money and support for such a great charity than to jump 10,000 feet out of a plane!’ – Selina Hammond

If you would like to take part in our Skydive Day for Mental Health Awareness Week, you can do so by visiting Skyline’s website here. Minimum sponsorship amount for a tandem skydive is £395.
