About the event
“The shortest, hottest and scariest walk of the year!“
On Sunday 10th October 2021, take part in our brand new Firewalk event taking place at Colchester United Football Club from 5pm for World Mental Health Day.
We have teamed up with Time 4 Change, experts in Fire Walking, to bring you our brand new fundraising event! This is an amazing opportunity to try something new whilst raising vital funds for our mental health services.
The past year has been particularly difficult for lots of us so this is the perfect time to show your solidarity and prove to yourself that you can do something amazing!
“I feel quite humbled by the whole experience last night – such an incredible inner peace – the community spirit, the amazing organisation, the amount raised. I expected empowerment, elation and a feeling of ‘if I can do this, I can do anything!’. What I didn’t expect was an amazing inner silence and the realisation that I had that strength in me all along. Thank you so much – the talk you gave along with the actual firewalking experience will stick with me!” – A Fire walk participant with Time 4 Change events
The event will be fully socially distanced and in line with government guidelines in place at that time and is kindly being sponsored by DNA Technical Architecture.
How do I take part?
It costs £30 to take part and we ask that you raise £100 in sponsorship if you can; that’s only 20 friends or family who would sponsor you £5 – you can do it! Or you can also choose to make an additional donation to our charity at the checkout. The best way to get sponsored is to create a Just Giving page as it’s a great way for friends and family to sponsor you online. Alternatively you could download your sponsor form here.
