On Saturday 04 February, Colchester United Football Club, Workhorse Generation and Mid and North East Essex Mind are coming together at the JobServe Community Stadium in Colchester to talk about mental health.
Our CEO James McQuiggan spoke with Luke Chambers, Defender at Colchester United Football Club, about why the day is so important…
With a fantastic competition for spectators and all of the footy team wearing Mind branded t-shirts as part of their warm up, the day promises to be a fun-filled way of starting conversations about mental health for Time to Talk Day 2023.
Talking and listening about mental health has the power to change lives. Each conversation we have contributes to reducing mental health stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.
If you’re coming along to the match, have a chat with us on the day, or support the campaign on social media by using the hashtag #TimeToTalk.
With your help, we can bring mental health onto the pitch and out into the open, so nobody in Essex has to face a mental health problem alone.
