Men’s Health Week: Simon’s Story

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

This Men’s Health Week we spoke to Simon Tuck, Social Media Manager at Harwich & Parkeston Football Club, to ask why he thinks it’s important more men reach out for support if they are struggling with a mental health problem.

In his video, you can learn about Simon’s own journey with depression and how getting involved with community football has made a big impact.

Trigger warning: This video contains references to depression and suicide.

If the safety of someone with a mental health problem, or those around them, is at serious and immediate risk then contact the ambulance or police by dialling 999. If you’re feeling unwell, you can find out more about our crisis services as well.

Thank you to Simon for sharing this story with us during Men’s Health Week and thank you to Harwich & Parkeston Football Club.
