Business leaders recognise the importance of their social responsiblity to support their communities and the association of working with a charity has proven to increase and enhance customer loyalty. A partnership with Mid and North East Essex Mind demonstrates that your organisation is committed to supporting the wellbeing of the local community and can only be a bonus for your brand and your reputation.
The demand for mental health services is growing and we need to provide more services in our area in order to support more local people. Some of your employees will have experienced or will experience a mental health problem and in supporting us, you are in turn supporting your workforce, their families and their friends.

Make us your ‘Charity of the Year’
Choosing Mid and North East Essex Mind as your charity of the year will only have positive benefits, with enhanced public and employee relations. Committing to one charity for a whole year will enable your organisation to build a relationship, raise awareness as well as raising funds with various events or initiatives throughout the year. Your organisation will also be supported by the fundraising team who will be able to motivate your staff, assist you with planning events and provide you with the tools and materials to make the biggest impact.
Any business, large or small, can take part in our 2020 challenge and pledge to raise £2,020 during 2020. Be one of our ‘ten’! If Mid and North East Essex Mind could get ten companies to take on the challenge, that would be £20,200 raised for our local mental health services.

Gifts in Kind
Gifts in kind are a donations of things like professional services, products (for excample, bottles of water at an event, or meeting/conference room facilities), discounted services and second-hand items. Maybe there is a way your company could assist in a non-financial way to support the charity so that we can save money and spend it where it’s most needed. Have a chat with our fundraising team on 01206 764600 to see how you could help in this way.
Enter a staff team into one of our challenges
We work with various external companies to offer challenges like tandem skydiving, cycle rides, marathons, long distance treks, all of which are great team building opportunities as well as personal challenges.
Visit our challenge page for more information.
How can you inspire your employees to fundraise? By saying you’ll match their fundraising! Matching funds raised by your staff shows you are supporting what they are doing and helping them to raise as much money as possible for Mid and North East Essex Mind.
Encourage your employees to volunteer for our charity. They could help us with fundraising, bucket collections, bag-packing at supermarkets and event promotion. Visit our volunteer page here.
Making a financial donation would be gratefully received and gives Mid and North East Essex Mind an opportunity to design and implement services away from our contractual work to meet the changing needs of our local community and the growing demand for mental health services.
The yearly cost of our services is around £1 million; we receive some fundraising from local authorities and grants, but with budgets being cut, we rely on community and corporate fundraising to keep our services going.
If you are interested in supporting us in your workplace or looking for a charity partner please contact Julie, Corporate Fundraising Manager on 01206 764600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
