On Monday 15th January, our charity partner Perrywood Garden Centre and Nurseries presented the fundraising team with their end of year total and have raised a very impressive £7,049.31 for our organisation!
The funds were raised throughout last year through a range of activities involving staff and customers including quiz nights and get-fit challenges. Communication & Business Development Manager, Hannah Powell, also completed 40 different challenges to celebrate her 40th birthday and raised a fantastic £1,490 from this alone. These challenges included writing and illustrating a children’s book, sporting challenges and learning new skills such as sewing.
Perrywood have also decided they would like to continue to support Mid and North East Essex Mind alongside their other chosen charities throughout 2018. Hannah Powell says, “Raising funds for worthy charities and supporting our local community is so important to us at Perrywood. As a team, we are extremely passionate about helping others and giving back. We are delighted to be able to make such a huge difference to these worthy causes and raise much needed funds. We are delighted to announce that throughout 2018 we will continue to support these charities and we look forward to another successful year of fundraising and helping our local community.”
