Practicing good Wellbeing in the Workplace is paramount to creating a happy, healthy and productive workforce. Our Wellbeing in the Workplace training will cover mental health awareness and the hallmarks of good wellbeing in the workplace, giving practical advice and tools which can be implemented in your work environment.
Our training day covers the following topic’s:
Mental Health Awareness
Managing health, work and wellbeing is the responsibility of both the employer and the employee. At this session you will learn what the signs and symptoms are of common mental health problems like Anxiety and Depression and changes in behaviour which may occur if someone is struggling with their mental health.
Workplace Wellbeing
Employers have a major role to play in encouraging good mental health at work and a culture of inclusiveness. Every employer depends on having healthy and productive employees – valued and supported staff are far more likely to deliver the best outcomes for your business. If you want to attract and retain committed employees, prioritising the mental health of your staff needs to be core business in your organisation.
On completing this training you will:
- Be able to spot the signs that a staff member or colleague may be struggling with their mental health
- Feel more confident in initiating a conversation with a colleague about their mental health and wellbeing
- Have the tools in place to offer appropriate support.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance throughout the course of the day. The session will be led by:
Louisa Brewster – Louisa has worked in health and social care for over 30 years and is an experienced mental health practitioner and trainer.
Helen Barrett – Helen has worked with Mid and North East Essex Mind for 10 years in various roles, most recently HR Officer, and is qualified with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
