Hours: 7 hour shifts – 16:00 – 23:00 or 4 hour shifts – 17:00 – 21:00 / 18:00 – 22:00 working on a 2 week rolling rota on a 2/2/3 working pattern. Week 1 – Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 – Wed, Thu. Excluding bank holidays.

Salary: £19,305 per annum, pro-rata (Pro rata salary £12,612.60 pa) (Increasing to £21,255 FTE from January 2023)

The North East Essex Crisis Cafés is staffed by an experienced team who are on hand to listen and provide support to those leading towards a mental health crisis. They operate from two central locations, one in Colchester and one in Clacton. The team of Support Workers are be supported by the Service Lead and an EPUT Mental Health Nurse. The Haven Project also forms part of the service.

We are looking for individuals who have experience in supporting adults in the community, working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with a knowledge of the local community and the support available. Experience of working within Mental Health Services is an advantage.

The Crisis Cafés will operate from 16:00-23:00, 7 days per week (excluding Bank Holidays).  You would be working on a 2 week rolling rota, (7 shifts over 14 days – e.g. 2 on/2 off/3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off), which would include working alternate weekends.  The shifts available are 16:00-23:00, 17:00-21:00 or 18:00-22:00.
