Support Worker (Evenings) – Mid Essex Sanctuary

Hours:  7 hour shifts (Out of hours 18:00-01:00), working on a 2 week rolling rota on a 2/2/3 working pattern. Week 1 – Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 – Wed, Thu. Including bank holidays.

Salary: £19,305 per annum, pro-rata (Pro rata salary £13,454.63 pa includes unsocial hours payment of time and a half for hours worked 12 midnight to 1am)

Contract: Fixed term contract until 31.03.2023

We are seeking experienced Support Workers to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary within a Crisis Sanctuary setting.

The Sanctuary accepts referrals from the 111 Option 2 Crisis Service and is accessible to those living within the localities of Mid Essex who are experiencing a Mental Health Crisis. The aim of the Sanctuary is to help reduce the number of admissions to A&E for those who have no physical/medical need.

The role will involve working in partnership to ensure that vulnerable people have a safe environment in which to manage their crisis and provide back-up services, where necessary. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new Service in an area of great need and to contribute to improved out of hours’ provision.
