Hours:  7 hour shift (4pm – 11pm) or 4 hour shift (6pm – 10pm) working on a 2 week rolling rota

Salary: £19,305 per annum, pro-rata (Pro rata salary: 7hr shift – £12,613 pa, 4 hr shift – £7,207 pa)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Colchester (7 hour shifts) / Clacton (4 hr shift)

The North East Essex Crisis Cafés are staffed by an experienced team of Support Workers who are on hand to listen and provide support to those leading towards a mental health crisis. They operate from two central locations, one in Colchester and one in Clacton. The team of Support Workers are supported by the Service Lead and an EPUT Mental Health Nurse. The Haven Project also form part of the service.

We are looking for individuals to work in our Colchester or Clacton Café who have experience in supporting adults in the community, working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with a knowledge of the local community and the support available. Experience of working within Mental Health Services is an advantage.

The Crisis Café operates from 16:00-23:00, 7 days per week (excluding Bank Holidays).  You would be working on a 2 week rolling rota, (7 shifts over 14 days – e.g. 2 on/2 off/3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off), which would include working alternate weekends.

The shifts available are:

16:00 – 23:00 Colchester

18:00 – 22:00 Clacton
