Yesterday, Monday 01 August 2022, saw the launch of Local Minds Week, a celebration of Mind charities across the country.
What is a local Mind?
We’re part of a network that supports the mental health of communities in almost every part of England and Wales – the Mind network.
In communities across Mid and North East Essex, we provide mental health services to thousands of people each year as your local Mind – and as we’re local we understand our communities, so provide services that local people need.
We’re an independent charity, which means we raise our own funds, while our board is responsible for how we’re run.
There are over 100 local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Last year, these independent, local Mind charities supported over 403,000 people. We are proud to be one of them!
Together, local Minds are part of the Mind family. We share knowledge and ideas, and nationally, Mind supports our work.
Together we’re fighting for better mental health.
How can you support your local Mind?
There are many ways you can support Mid and North East Essex Mind in August!
Make a donation
As an independent charity, every donation to Mid and North East Essex Mind goes towards supporting local people affected by mental health problems.
We will attending Colchester Pride on Saturday 13 August – and we’d love you to join us! Just email fundraising@mnessexmind.org to find out more about being on our stall for the day.
Fundraise for us
We believe that nobody should face a mental health problem alone. To ensure we’re here today and in the future, we rely on our amazing fundraisers to support us.
Email fundraising@mnessexmind.org to begin your fundraising journey today.
