Losing someone to suicide can feel overwhelming. You might experience a range of emotions, from shock and sadness to anger, guilt, or confusion. However you’re feeling, you’re not alone, we’re here to support you.
Our Bereaved by Suicide Support Service is here for anyone in North East Essex and Suffolk who has been affected by suicide. That includes family members, friends, colleagues, or anyone else impacted by the loss.
We support both adults and young people. If a referral is made for a child or young person, we’ll carry out an assessment to make sure we can offer the right kind of support for their needs.
This service is free and confidential.

We run support groups where you can connect with others who have also been bereaved by suicide.
Our staff are trained to take the impact of trauma into account in how we support you. We will also signpost you to other services that may be of benefit, depending on your needs.
The Suicide Bereavement Service is funded by Suffolk County Council, and is delivered as a partnership between Mid and North East Essex Mind and Suffolk Mind.
