Support groups

You’re Not Alone, We’re Here for You. We believe no one should face mental health challenges alone. Our support groups offer a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported.

Whether you’re navigating a difficult time or looking to connect with others who understand, we’re here to stand alongside you with compassion, care, and community.

The Welcome Cafe

Our weekly Welcome Cafes provide a warm, safe space where you can enjoy a coffee or tea and chat, play some games or try our arts & crafts.

It’s a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where everyone is welcome.

Walking for Wellbeing

Moving a little more and spending time outdoors can make a difference to our mental health.

Join a Walking for Wellbeing group, run by The Mental Health Runner CIC.

These free, weekly walks are open to everyone, whatever your ability. They’re a chance to get outside, move a little more and connect with others in a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental environment.

The walks are independently organised and led by Shawn Leek of The Mental Health Runner CIC and depart from our North East Essex Sanctuary locations in Colchester and Clacton.

Whether you come along on your own or with someone else, you’ll be welcome.

North East Essex Sanctuary Friendship Group
