New Personality Disorder Support Service has launched in Mid Essex

On 24 April 2023, Mid and North East Essex Mind launched our first ever support service for people living with a Personality Disorder.

The launch coincides with our report ‘Listening to lived experiences of Personality Disorders: A small qualitative study in Essex’ which we have published today. You can download the PDF Document below.

Head of Operations Kerrie Barker says, “During the COVID-19 pandemic we received many calls from people living with Personality Disorders. We have been listening to people in our communities, so now we’re launching this new service. It’s a significant investment for Mid and North East Essex Mind and we know we can support local people better by offering them practical support when living with a Personality Disorder.”

The service is a short-term, practical intervention for people living with a Personality Disorder in Mid Essex – Braintree, Chelmsford and Maldon. The service is completely free and we will work with people for a short period of time to support them practically.

This is the beginning of addressing the challenges people in Essex face when accessing practical support when living with a Personality Disorder.
