We are the Mayor of Colchester’s Charity of the Year!

Proud to be one of the Mayor of Colchester’s chosen charities

We’re delighted that the Mayor of Colchester, Councillor Andrew Ellis, has chosen Mid and North East Essex Mind as one of his four charities for 2026/27.

Alongside Camp Jojo, Colchester Zoological Society and the Army Benevolent Fund, we’ll benefit from fundraising events organised by the Mayor and Mayoress throughout the year. Their theme, ‘Growing Well – Helping Colchester Flourish’, celebrates the community we’re proud to be part of.

For us, this support means a great deal. As your local Mind, we’re here for people across Mid and North East Essex who need support with their mental health. Local fundraising helps us continue this work and gives us opportunities to reach people who may not yet know where to turn.

A heartfelt thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress, Andrew and Nicky Ellis, for choosing to support us, and to everyone giving their time to organise, attend and raise funds through these events.

There are opportunities to get involved throughout the year, with events supporting all four chosen charities. Whether you come along with friends or help spread the word, we’re grateful for your support.
